Entry: Goodbye match.com - til we meet again Monday, July 07, 2008

I'm sure i'll probably be sucked back to the mothership of online dating, scratch.com, but for now it's sayonara sickos.   No more winks from 59 year old el camino drivers.

I think it's getting worse- my good attitude towards dating lasted only 3 days or so before I realized why I hate online dating.   All the old pervs!

I've still got a week on my subscription but I officially cancelled the membership today.... when asked, "What can we do to make finding love easier?" I replied,

Love does not equal dates. I realize you have to work with "love" as a marketing tool, but it's pretty funny to equate love with chatting to people online.

Also, you should be able to block certain users from seeing your profile. Not only individual users but entire towns.

gak, seriously....find yourself a nice "friend" who can take care of you now and then, but outside of that enjoy being single and doing whatever you want, whenever you want. You want kids? Adopt. Become a foster parent. It's not like husbands automatically make great fathers. Sometimes they just become even greater pains in the asses.

ive met people online before. only once from a dating site and we only had maybe 2 or 3 dates. he was really nice. but i was also on and off again with my now husband at the time, so i never really got to know him.

i do hope you find someone, you deserve to find a great guy.

Kudos for continuing to try at least. I think I've given up all together.

Hey girlie! I wish I had an answer to our dating dilemma. But don't give up hope! I know there is a "happily ever after" for both of us. It may not be on snatch.com, but it's definitely out there!

I had a good 6 months of honest-to-God wonderful, tingly, feel it from your fingers to your toes love, and I can't give up on the idea of having that feeling again. I know it's out there. It may not be today, or tomorrow, or even next year, but it IS out there.
